Introduction  Previous page  Next page

Text objects typically appear as titles of axes objects and as labels. When editing is turned off you'll find the following 3 items on the context menu of a text object:

Edit: Turns editing on. To turn it off click anywhere in the figure.
Font: Change the font properties of the text object from a Text Font dialog.
Font Color: Select a new color for the text object from a color picker dialog.

When editing has been turned on for the text object, you have the following items on the context menu:

Undo: Undo any changes to the text.
Cut: Delete selected text.
Copy: Copy selected text to the clipboard.
Paste: Paste text from the clipboard into the text object.
Delete: Basically does the same thing as Cut.
Select All: Select all text in the text object.

Notice that when editing has been turned on, the context menu is actually provided via the operating system and the clipboard facility is therefore available.
