Light Context Menu

Introduction  Previous page  Next page

Light objects are always created when a surface object is created and you can't delete light objects. When a light object is displayed (it's actually a line object representing the position of the light) and you right-click on it, you'll find 4 items on its context menu. They are:

Ambient Light Color: Change the color of the ambient light via a color picker dialog. The ambient light color is given along the edge of the light object.
Light Color: Change the light color. The light color is shown in the center of the light object.
Light Style: Choose between infinite and local light. Infinite light means that the light object behaves as if its placed at infinity giving parallel rays. Local means just that.
Unlock/Lock Light: Makes it possible to move a light object around and then lock it in a new position. To move it, first unlock it then use regular drag-and-drop with the left button of your mouse.

Figure: The context menu of a light object in SVAR. The light object is here given by the white circle in the graph.

To make a light object visible you must choose this option from the context menu of the axes object. The items under "Light Visibility" take care of this; see 3D Editing Tools for more details.
